About Us

Rev. Brenda Gurley is the Founder and Director of Heart to Heart Christian Ministries.  She is committed to working with those who want to develop a “heart to heart” intimacy with God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through the power of the Holy Spirit.  She is also committed to equipping them to share Him with others.  She has worked with many to help bring about healing and deliverance through prayer and biblical counseling.  She believes that “we are called for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14) to be effective for the kingdom of God, and that God has a plan for each of us to impact our world, wherever we may be.  She is an edifier and an encourager to “ordinary” people to recognize that we can make a difference because “…we have this treasure in jars of clay to show this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.” (2 Cor. 4:7)

  • Ordained Minister with World Ministry Fellowship International

  • Attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary

  • Women’s Ministry Certificate Program under Dr. Rhonda Kelly

  • Completed the Volunteer Certificate Program at River Oaks Hospital in its Religion and Psychiatry Program under Rev. Leona Fisher

  • Completed the Leadership Training Program

  • Precept Ministries Institute of Training (Kay Arthur, Precept International)

  • Completed the Inductive Training Program

  • Precept Ministries Institute of Training (Kay Arthur, Precept International)

  • Bible Study Teacher since 1979

  • Co-leader with her husband, David in home cell groups/home church

  • Anointed as an Elder together with her husband, David

  • Biblical Counselor / Deliverance Minister

  • Sunday School and Children’s Ministry Worker

In the business world she has worked in Marketing and Business Development, as a hair stylist and a makeup consultant. She is a mother and a grandmother, an artist and a sculptress.
